St. Kitts & Nevis CITIZENSHIP
The Citizenship by Investment Program of St. Kitts & Nevis, established in 1984 is the longest-standing and most respected citizenship-by-investment initiative in the world. Since its conception, the government has maintained high standards, and avoided scandals that have embroiled other, now defunct, citizenship programs around the globe.
The Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas. Located in the Leeward Islands of the West Indies, the federation unites the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, although both islands maintain certain independent regulation. The English-speaking islands remain under-developed by Caribbean standards, but tourism, the principal economy of the islands, has been growing steadily, bringing with it new hotel and resort developments. Both islands have international airports, and two ferry lines connect them. The islands are still very connected with nature; it is estimated that St. Kitts & Nevis currently has a larger vervet monkey population than humans.
St. Kitts & Nevis is a full and participating member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and the Commonwealth of Nations.
There are currently two options available to qualify for the Citizenship by Investment Program;
S.I.D.F. Contribution
Acquisition of approved Real Estate. - minimum investment US$400,000
A St. Kitts & Nevis passport allows visa-free travel to more than 125+ countries, including all European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Caribbean and Commonwealth nations. Citizens often acquire long-term travel visas to the United States of America. The island federation imposes no residency requirements and no income, wealth or inheritance taxes.
There is no requirement to visit St. Kitts & Nevis in order to qualify for citizenship, although all applicants are subject to a strict background check. Due diligence fees of US$7.5k for the investor (US$4k per dependent spouse or children 16yrs+) must paid before the application will be processed.
The granting of citizenship is at the sole discretion of the government of St. Kitts and Nevis, and there is no guarantee that the applicant will be approved. However, NTL legal advisors carefully screen the investors prior to submitting an application, and as such, they are rarely refused. Applications are processed by a carefully-selected network of NTL affiliate lawyers and authorized financial services providers. Proffesional fees may vary depending on the complexity of the application, but are typically in the between US$20-25k.
