Sample Investment Total: Grenada Real Estate Option

Island Transformation Fund

This option is not currently available as the Government is setting up the various facets of the Fund, which will invest directly into the infrastructure, and economy of the island.

This looks to be developing as a two-step program including an initial Donation to the government of US$75k plus Legal, professional, due diligence and processing fees. After the first donation the applicant will receive a permanent Residence status, which may or may not require visiting the islands.

After at least 12 months pass with Permanent Resident Status, the applicant can then apply for Citizenship, after making a second contribution of US$125k.

The situation will continue to be fluid for the next few months, while the government polishes the Island Transformation Fund program. Please check back with us for more info.

REBORN: Grenada Parliament approves citizen by investment program

UPDATE: August 21, 2013 - Bill was approved by Senate and the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program is now law. We are still waiting for the result of the cabinet meeting, for the final details.

______________________________________________________

On August 9th, 2013, the Grenada Paliament appoved the new, reborn, economic citizenship program. Cabinet met again on August 19-21th, 2013 to discuss the details, and the final program should be ready to process applicants by the start of September 2013.

The government has been working behind the scenes on the CBI program for months now, and most of the legal and administrative issues associated with the program have already been worked out.

Applications for the citizenship program will be by invitation only and applicants will be pre-screened before submitting documents. Simular to the St. Kitts & Nevis Program there will be 2 options to qualify; Aquisition of authorised real estate and through a donation to the Island Transformation Fund (ISF).

To begin the program, only one development is selling authorised real estate. The exclusive Mt. Cinnamon resort on Anse Beach is construction ready, with the expansion of the project. NTL is an authorised agent with the resort, please contact us for more information on the program.

The donation ammount to the government controlled Island Transformation Fund (ISF), although not finalized yet, will be inline with the donation to the St. Kitts & Nevis SIDF fund. Additionally the ISF donation option may include some residency requirements.

This exciting new program has been carefully planned out by the Grenada government and looks to be one of better options for a new or second citizenship, with faster processing times that other countries, and total investment simular or less than other options in the Caribbean.

NTL has been involved with and monitoring the process over the past few months, and NTL agents have been spending time in Grenada preparing to guide clients through the Grenada citizenship process.

Get ready to jump in with two feet - Grenada Citizenship can be your in as little as 60 days!

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA: Citizenship by Investment by Senate! --- NEW VOTE EXPECTED SOON. ---

In February '13, the Senate did NOT pass the Citizenship by Investment bill, which has caused some political waves in Antigua. After the removal of 4 Senators, the bill is expected to come to vote by the end of March '13 or shortly there after. The opposition party has been trying to complicate the passage of the bill, and are pushing to postpone the vote until October '13.

The benefits of the Citizenship program, which include an increase to construction and the creation of both short and long term jobs, have not been explained in depth to the public. The opposition party has been using this to slow the progress, and hinder the expansion of the economy before next years elections.

The new bill to go to vote will include some slight changes, including a more defined structure to the Citizenship Investment Unit, which will be established once the bill is approved.

The 2013 government budget includes substaintial revenue from the yet to be approved program, and we firmly believe the program will be approved and be opperational before this summer so that the government does not face a revenue deficiency.

For more information on the proposed program click here.

NTL Immigration is busily preparing for this exciting new program. Please contact your NTL agent for more information.
